Masuk 7 kategori nominasi, Olivia Rodrigo bawa pulang 3 piala Grammy 2022

Tahun ini merupakan pertama kalinya bagi Olivia Rodrigo masuk nominasi Grammy Awards. Tak tanggung-tanggung, pelantun lagu berjudul “Good 4 U” ini langsung meraih 7 nominasi dan memenangkan 3 piala Grammy Awards. Ketiga kemenangan itu ia raih untuk kategori Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Pop Vocal Album, dan Best New Artist.

Pada kategori Best Pop Solo Performance, Olivia Rodrigo memenangkannya melalui lagu Drivers License yang rilis di tahun 2021 lalu. Ia mengalahkan sederet musisi lainnya, antara lain Justin Bieber (“Anyone”), Brandi Carlile (“Right on Time”), Billie Eilish ("Happier Than Ever"), hingga Ariana Grande ("Positions") yang juga menjadi nominasi untuk kategori ini.

Album bertajuk “Sour” dari penyanyi kelahiran 20 Februari 2003 ini juga memenangkan piala Grammy Awards 2022 untuk kategori Best Pop Vocal Album. Sementara itu, nominasi Grammy Awards selanjutnya yang dimenangkan Olivia Rodrigo yaitu Best New Artist, mengalahkan nominee lainnya yaitu Arooj Aftab, Jimmie Allen, Baby Keem, FINNEAS, dan Saweetie.
